■February 1906
Founded as a sole proprietorship in Osaka City by Bunnnosuke Oshima I. Started
■Jun. 1919
Shifted to become general manufacturer of rubber products for medical use while also started manufacturing rubber products for stamps.
■Mar. 1945
Main plant (Naniwa Ward, Osaka City) lost due to bombing during war. Partially relocated to current plant (Yamato Takada City, Nara Prefecture) used for partial evacuation at the time.
■May 1948
Restructured, renamed to Naniwa Rubber Co., Ltd.
■Oct. 1950
Started production of vinyl chloride products.
■Jan. 1951
Started production of rubber plugs for medical use.
■1953
Promoted R&D in various synthesized rubber machining technology. Started production of rubber products for household electric appliances.
■Jun. 1955
Certified as JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) approved plant for rubber water pillows (Certification No. 4001).
■Jun. 1962
Constructed latex plant for mass production of rubber gloves for household use.
■Apr. 1969
Constructed factory for manufacturing blood transfusion and infusion sets following corporate structure to focus on medical industry.
■Jan. 1972
Certified as JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) approved plant for rubber nipples (Certification No. 571132), worked to expand production of IR and silicon nipples.
■Aug. 1976
Renovated medical-use rubber plugs manufacturing plant to
expand production and comply with GMP (quality enhancement) measures in the medical industry.
■Nov. 1984
Established clean room in medical-use rubber plugs manufacturing plant.
■Oct. 1987
Completed plant for plug component used in plastic containers for blood transfusions.
■Oct. 1993
Expanded plug component manufacturing plant to address increased orders for plug components.
■Nov. 1997
Installed new water treatment facility to promote stable supply of industrial water.
■Nov. 2000
Obtained ISO9002 certification for medical-use rubber plugs, plug bodies and medical devices

Obtained ISO9001-2000 certification for medical-use rubber plugs, plug bodies and medical devices
